You stole a husband, a friend, a son, a brother
You stole my dreams, my hopes, and my future
You stole my chance of a beautiful marriage
You stole my chance of having a child with the man I love
You stole his chance of a wife, a home, a family
You stole his life's purpose, his dreams, his future
You stole everything that he had worked hard for
And you stole your right to live an innocent life
You taught me courage, strength, humility, love
You opened my eyes to the suffering of the world
You made me realise how precious true friends are
You showed me how life is so fragile
You motivated me to live my life with meaning
You taught me not to take anyone or anything for granted
You made me want to protect my love ones even more
You showed me how love is the greatest thing of all
Because of all that you taught me
I forgive you.
